"A dream come true - This is a beautifully restored watchtower high on a hill overlooking Florence. The road up to it is a winding, typically narrow italian rural road, and the climb seems steep, but it's well worth the view and the serene surroundings. There's lot of sunshine at the top, good for sunning by the pool, or sharing a glass of wine on the patio and watching the sun set over Florence. Aurora is the perfect hostess; very thoughtful and helpful. I can't say enough good things about her. She made the stay even more special. She reserved a time for us at the Uffizi and Accademia Galleries, and we did not have to suffer through long line-ups. She also helped us with other details, like laundry, wifi, touring the region, etc. Our room (Limoni) was surprisingly huge and very comfortable. We couldn't have asked for better accomodations. It had lots of character. The bathroom was so nice - with a tub! It was the best accomodation in our 15 days travelling in Italy! There were a few restaurants a short drive away, but not many places for groceries nearby - so if you're hoping to bring food for the fridge and microwave, you may want to pick something up on your way in. The pool and garden are beautiful (water a bit cold in mid September). Aurora and Casale Fontibucci truly allowed us to live the dream of being "under the Tuscan sun"

"Spectacular - We cannot say enough good things about Casale Fontibucci! Breathtaking views, amazing hospitality and the room was more like a private apartment. Beyond our expectations. We did have a car, so with the help of the GPS, we were able to find our way. It is far out from the city, but it's a great place to relax and escape the hectic city life. When we wanted to tour the city, we were able to park our car in a lot on the outskirts of Florence and then take a bus into the centre. This was quite reasonable (approx. 2. Euro's) to park the car for 12 hours. If we get the chance we would definitely want to stay here again. Our host was very helpful and made our stay enjoyable!"

"Cannot recommend highly enough - "spectacular views & wonderful hostess" Our stay at Casale Fontibucci was one of the most magical memories that we both will cherish forever. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The photos simply don’t do it justice; it is so beautiful and so tranquil. The views over Florence are spectacular both at day and at night. In the hills just outside of Florence it’s easy to reach – we travelled by bus but I would recommend you hire a car as although it is a beautiful and relaxing place to be stranded, after more than a few days I suspect you would be itching to travel to Florence and the surrounding countryside towns and vineyards. The accommodation was even better than we expected and was a whole suite with a bedroom, bathroom, and living room area complete with TV, dining table, sofa, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, kettle and also cutlery and crockery for nights when you may want to stay and enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Florence rather than eating in a nearby restaurant. Although a word of warning – take mosquito repellent! Breakfast was a great affair with croissants, toast, cakes, cereal, and home-made jams and many other spreads to choose from. Aurora caters to your personal tastes; for example whether you would like tea/coffee/juice/all three! The gardens were well-kept and very pretty to walk around and although there were other guests staying at the apartments on site, we had sole use of the pool for the entire stay. One of the most important things I must mention is that when our own reservation to have a vineyard tour and tasting at a nearby winery fell through at the last minute then Aurora called her contacts and arranged a private tour for us at Fattoria de Grignano (on a Sunday in August nonetheless!) and personally drove us there as we didn’t have a car. She spent over three hours on the tour with us, and gave us a wonderfully informative tour of the local area whilst driving us there. Her kindness was honestly unsurpassed and we feel so much gratitude toward this sweet lady. We will definitely be returning there, and also recommending it to all our friends!

Grazie mille – tutto era perfetto!"
